A Continental gilt-porcelain figural tea warmer, circa mid-19th century, possibly Vienna or Dresden. The piece is composed of three detachable sections: a hexagonal base with pierced ventilation holes, a Gothic revival middle section painted with polychrome figural scenes framed by pointed arches, and a teapot-form vessel gilded and painted with additional rustic figures. The heavy use of gilding and fine enameling suggests high-quality production. The underside bears the hand-painted number "911," likely a decorator’s or model number.H: 11 in., (28 cm.)
Condition
Very good overall with no chips or cracks, the gilding has slightly faded.
