- Lot Description
Stained wooden grip with a checkered pattern. Silver-plated brass mounts (slightly worn), German-style single hilt, cast-brass pommel and a curved quillon. Curved blade with flat spine and hollow engraved and one-third gilded forte. The brass scabbard (remains of silver plating), with two flat fittings and two loose suspension rings.
Consulate Period.
L: 40 in., (100 cm.)
Condition
The scabbard is slightly worn, and the hilt is tight. The blade fits the scabbard well. The forte has minor signs of age and use.
