A RUSSIAN IMPERIAL LARGE SILVER MEDAL "FOR ZEAL," NICHOLAS II, CIRCA 1894–1917.
Massive circular silver medal, 50 mm in diameter, with suspension loop.
Obverse: Bust of Tsar Nicholas II facing left, with inscription: "Б.Ðœ. ÐИКОЛÐЙ II ИМПЕРÐТОРЪ И СÐМОДЕРЖЕЦЪ ВСЕРОСС." (By the Grace of God, Nicholas II, Emperor and Autocrat of All Russia).
Reverse: Central inscription "ЗРУСЕРДIЕ" (For Zeal), within an ornate laurel and palm wreath tied at the base.
