A fine example of Loetz-style iridescent glass vase, executed in a compressed ovoid form with a small, slightly everted mouth. The surface displays a rich, opalescent luster shifting between gold, violet, pink and aqua tones, in the manner of Loetz’s best Phänomen-type décors. The body is decorated with a delicate web-like pattern of pulled trails and applied "oil spot" elements, giving the vase a dynamic, organic texture. The piece is signed on the body in gold script.
The vase is signed by the artist.
H: 5 3/8 in., (13.7 cm.) D: 8 in., (20.4 cm.)
Excellent condition with minimal wear to the surface. No cracks or chips visible.
