Each decanter of baluster form in finely cut clear crystal, the body decorated with deep geometric and star-pattern cutting arranged in vertical facets, rising to a short neck fitted with a cylindrical silver collar lavishly decorated in polychrome cloisonné enamel. The collars enriched with scrolling foliate motifs in shades of turquoise, cobalt blue, white, green, and red, heightened with gilt outlines and set at regular intervals with oval cabochon garnets and smaller red stones in raised collet mounts.
Hallmarks: 1AC, 84 Russian silver proof, Kokoshnik. Each fitted with a faceted crystal stopper. The combination of heavy cut crystal and richly enameled silver mounts reflects the high decorative standard of Imperial Russian tableware of the period, intended for formal dining and presentation.
H: 8 1/4 in., (21 cm.)
The cut-crystal bodies show no damage, cracks or chips. The silver mouts have light signs of wear.
