- Lot Description
The openwork oval basket with scrolling handles and pierced sides richly applied with polychrome encrusted flowers, heightened with extensive gilt, raised on an elaborate pedestal base centered by an oval floral cartouche framed by turquoise and gilt Rococo scrollwork. The stem and foot applied with a group of five modeled putti engaged in playful fruit-gathering activities, seated and climbing among rocky forms and floral garlands, their figures finely painted with delicate flesh tones and pastel drapery. The verso with central metal mounting bolt and multiple firing vents, bearing a blue underglaze Meissen crossed swords mark beneath, together with impressed and painter’s numerals in red and blue.

Condition
Overall very good condition with light wear to gilding. No structural cracks or major repairs observed.
