• Lot Description

  An Imperial Russian artilleryman's helmet, with a large brass double-headed Imperial eagle applied to the front, as well as a chinstrap with metal scales attached via buttons also decorated with the Imperial Eagle. While the top spike is no longer extant, the inside retains much of its original lining.

  Imperial Russia, c. 1854.

  H: 7 in., (18 cm.)

  Condition

  Some wear and drying to leather surface. Some loss to leather interior. Missing top spike. Extant metal components all in good condition.
