A Russian flintlock pistol of the 19th century which has been affixed with a brass medallion engraved with the cypher of Tsar Alexander I. The lockplate is engraved with the name 'Suster Beck' which seems to be of Germanic origin. Also on the lockplate are three stamps, including the cyrillic initials 'GV', the cyrillic initials 'AChe', and the 1804 date mark on the lower edge. The breech tang and rear lockplate are also marked with the 'GV' stamp, while the trigger guard is marked with the 'AChe' stamp.
Imperial Russia, 1804.
L: 17 in., (43.5 cm.)
Good for the age with some pitting and staining to barrel and metal fixtures. Wood furniture may be refinished, has some small chips and scratches. Some minor oxidation in places. Flintlock mechanism functions well.
