Shaped rectangular form with rounded corners, the exterior elaborately decorated in high relief with scrolling acanthus leaves, flowers, and lattice motifs, highlighted with applied gold accents including a running dog, dog’s head, and the Cyrillic inscription “ПамÑть†(Pamyat, meaning “Memory†or “Souvenirâ€). The interior is richly fire-gilt with finely chased floral and scrollwork decoration. Fitted with a thumbpiece set with a cabochon sapphire or synthetic sapphire.
Hallmarks on interior lid and base: maker’s mark "ÐД - Ð. Дубровин" (A. Dubrovin), 84 silver standard, and St. Petersburg town mark. Assay mark: St. Petersburg, circa 1908–1917

Condition
Good condition overall. Light surface wear consistent with age and use, with some small scuffs, particularly on high points. Applied gold elements show minimal wear and retain good detail. Interior: gilding intact and bright, with some light scratches from use. Hinge and closure: hinge operates smoothly; clasp with cabochon thumbpiece closes securely. Hallmarks are clear and legible. No visible dents or damages. A well-preserved piece showing minor signs of handling typical of early 20th-century Russian silver.
