A rectangular Art Deco metal box of architectural form, the hinged lid centered with a raised classical figure seated before a lyre within a circular medallion, set against a red and gilt ground and framed by a molded surround with stylized ornamental motifs. The sides cast and chased with repeating geometric relief ornament, raised on four bun feet. The surface retains an intentionally aged patina consistent with Bach’s hand-wrought decorative metalwork. The interior is plain and fitted with a hinged lid. The underside is engraved with a cursive signature reading "Oscar Bach". Oscar Bach was a Viennese-born metal artist who later achieved prominence in the United States, noted for his finely worked decorative objects combining classical imagery with early modern and Art Deco sensibilities.

Good overall, with some oxidation in places. Some loss to painted background of central harp motif. Hinge functions well.
