- Lot Description
An Indian feringi sword with a late 17th-century German blade with a short fuller on both sides, as well as a wolf mark on one side of the blade toward the ricasso. The hilt is of a characteristic form, forged of steel and with an elongated pommel for easier gripping. This is a fine example of an old Indian-edged weapon, in very good condition considering its age.
India, 18th century.
L: 46 in., (117 cm.)
Condition
Blade appears to be in good condition, with mild pitting throughout. Hilt is tight, all parts original.
