- Lot Description
An Indo-Persian walking cane with a zoomorphic hilt hiding a secret dagger, which is revealed when the handle is unscrewed from the shaft. The shaft itself can also be divided into two sections by unscrewing it at its middle. The whole cane is decorated with silver inlaid scrollwork and other patterning along its entire surface.
Indo-Persia, 19th century.
L: 37 3/4 in., (95.9 cm.)
Condition
Good overall, with some wear consistent with age. The silver inlya is well-preserved. All parts are tight.
