A nicely patinated Italian bronze sculpture of a nude mermaid or water nymph emerging from swirling fluid forms and looking longingly in the distance. Set atop a lathe-turned wooden base with graduated steps at its bottom. Italy, 19th century.H including base: 8 1/8 in. (20.8 cm)Very good with expected signs of wear and age. The base has a chip.
