- Description: Very Scarce Original Dial Rolex 14k Gold Bubble Back Half Roman Arabic Dial Finding a genuine half Arabic half Roman dial is nearly impossible. This is not a fake “California” dial, it is genuine. Collectors erroneously call these California dials because so many were refinished at a California dial house. This exhibits a nearly perfect tropical dial that has faded to a beautiful orange, brown color. This is also one of the bubble backs that boasts the word “chronometer” on the dial. All in all a highly collectable piece. In addition, the cool military engraving concerning Adak Island served as a secret cold weather weapons testing facility, and what better watch than a Rolex Oyster Chronometer. The sn 272654 supports Adak island mission years.

- Overall Condition: As per the description, there is and orange brown toning on the dial. Case has very little wear with mirror finish still visible. Details on engraving, case and crown are excellent. Crystal has a chip near the 9 mark and there are some general light aging imperfections on the crystal.
