AMERICAN, POSSIBLY NEW ENGLAND, SALMON-PAINTED PINE CUPBOARD TOP / BUCKET BENCH, having dovetailed top, four fixed shelves with beaded front edges, and cut-out bootjack ends. Original dry salmon-painted surface. Circa 1820-1840. 46" H, 48" W, 10" D. Provenance: From a private Albemarle Co., VA collection.
Good visual condition with expected usage wear and small repair to center of second shelf (from bottom). Original backboards detached but present. Modern wooden strips added to back (not visible from front). Cut-outs to sides possibly later. Likely a cupboard top originally.
