AMERICAN SCHOOL (LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY) FOLK ART DRAWING, watercolor and ink on paper, depicting a curlew standing on a grassy bank next to the water. No signature located. Housed under glass in a 19th-century walnut frame with possibly original poplar backboard. Modern note to backboard indicates that the drawing was discovered in the Birdsborough, PA area. Possibly Pennsylvania. Late 19th/early 20th century. 7" x 8 1/2" sight, 9 3/4" x 11 1/4" OA.
Excellent condition overall with very minor toning and a few minute areas of staining. Not examined out of frame.
