AMERICAN TRAMP ART CARVED STACK OF DRAWERS, POSSIBLY FOR SEWING, white pine and cigar boxes, peaked top made of 14 graduated steps, above seven drawers, each with a five-step front, sides with stepped ornamentation, additional applied tacks as decoration. Outstanding original dry surface. Cigar box labels suggest New York State origin. Circa 1880-1910. 21 1/2" H, 10" x 8" OA. Provenance: From a West Virginia private collection.
Good as-found condition, loss of one side strip, some other small losses, lacking two drawer knobs and some tacks.
