AMERICAN WALNUT TOOL CHEST, the hinged rectangular lid over a dovetailed case concealing a shallow well, single full drawer below above projecting base board with beveled edge. Interior of lid marked with graduated auger holes. Poplar secondary wood. Early, possibly original, worn surface with rich, dark color. Mid 19th century. 10" H, 21 1/4" W, 12 1/4" D.
