CURRIER AND IVES GENRE PRINT, hand-colored lithograph on paper, rare, Number 1 on Top 50 list at one time, large folio, titled "Husking", after an original work by Eastman Johnson. Old typed note attached verso, "To whom it may concern; / This is to certify that this print 'Husking' is one that belonged to my husband's cousin, the original Nathaniel Currier, and came down through the family to him". Housed under glass in a modern painted frame. Circa 1861. 21 1/4" x 27 1/8" image, 31" x 36" OA. Provenance: From a Pennsylvania private collection.
As-found condition with moderate overall toning, foxing, and fading. Laid down on cardboard with some edges tears. Numerous abrasions to image throughout.
