comprising a Davenport two-handled ovular bowl, transfer-printed in purple-blue in the "Clementson" pattern, with acanthus leaves over urns; and a Hollans "Carrera" pattern large platter, of canted-corner rectangular form, printed with images of urns on the corners, and Classical figures in a Palladian-inspired landscape. Both with printed marks, the first with NY retailer's marks. Dated 1852 and 1856. The bowl 4" H, the platter 12" x 15 1/4". (UPDATED 4/6/2015)
The bowl in moderate condition with a long crack to the ankle and a crawling hairline to the well side; and the platter in good condition, with some crazing and a light scratch toward the upper right-hand corner.
