comprising a tea bowl and saucer, painted with blue and ocher bands above a fanciful peafowl nestled among stylized branches, within blue-green-sponged foliage, another foliate cluster to the verso and within the well of the tea bowl; and another saucer, slightly paler in hue. Unmarked. Circa 1800-1820. 2 3/16" H, the teabowl; 5 1/8" DOA, the saucers.

Very good condition, the first, with a short hairline to the teabowl rim, and very light crazing and signs of being stacked in the kiln, with two hairlines to the saucer and a small chip to the footrim; the second saucer with a tiny shallow chip to the rim, and minor acreta from kiln stacking.
