GREENE CO., TENNESSEE PAINTED POPLAR MEAL BIN, a large and highly unusual form, with hinged slant lid concealing a divided interior fitted with sliding tray and central remainder trap which funnels into lower drawer, nailed case, cut-out scalloped apron, the whole raised on short ring-turned feet. Back board inscribed "Made by W. L. Broyles / Cedar Creek / Green Co., TN". Old green-painted surface. Late 19th/early 20th century. 43 3/4" H, 45 7/8" W, 29 5/8" D. Provenance: Property of a Shenandoah Valley private collector.
