MAINE DECORATED STONEWARE CROCK, salt-glazed, "5" gallon capacity mark, cylindrical form with rounded rim and arched handles, Albany-slip glazed interior. Three impressed swimming swans below capacity mark, each lightly brushed with cobalt. Attributed to the Gardiner Manufactory Co., Gardiner, ME. Circa 1880. 12 1/2" H, 12 1/4" D. Undamaged except for a very minor flake to one handle, some light interior residue.
