SHENANDOAH VALLEY OF VIRGINIA EARTHENWARE / REDWARE JARS, LOT OF TWO, lead-glazed, approximately half-gallon capacity, each of ovoid form, small example with a rolled-over flanged rim, other with three deeply incised rings below the angled-edge rim and slight foot. Probably Rockingham or Shenandoah Co. Circa 1820-1840. 7 1/4" H, 4 1/4" D rim, and 8 1/4" H, 4 3/4" D rim. Provenance: From a Virginia private collection.
