SIGNED ROSWELL GLEASON PEWTER LARD LAMP, cylindrical-form font raised on a circular-form foot, underside interior impressed "R GLEASON". Fitted with a pewter double-wick patented Southworth burner, impressed "SOUTHWORTH PAT. JULY 1842" along with identical impressing to bottom edge of font. Excellent condition with expected minor wear, several minute dents primarily to stem rings. Burner with some minute denting to the edge.
