COOPER & POWER / MAYSVILLE / KY", KENTUCKY MERCHANT'S DECORATED STONEWARE JAR, salt-glazed, "5" gallon capacity mark, cylindrical form with incised medial rings, slight shoulder, grooved arched handles, beaded neck, and flat-top rounded rim, Albany-slip glazed interior. Brushed cobalt three-blossom horizontal vine decoration above capacity designation, flanked by dashes, brushed stripe below rim and additional cobalt at handle terminals. Moderate shallow chip to inner rim, otherwise only a light short exterior firing hairline at base, some light to moderate all-over wear to exterior.
