STRASBURG, SHENANDOAH VALLEY OF VIRGINIA POLYCHROME-DECORATED EARTHENWARE / REDWARE FLOWER POT, lead-, copper-, and manganese-glazed over a slip wash, conical form with a double pie-crimp rim, attached saucer with pie-crimp rim, and punched drain hole. Outstanding color. Probably the pottery of Jacob Eberly (1830-1908) and Daniel Letcher Eberly (1859-1919), Strasburg, VA. Circa 1886-1903. 8 1/2" H, 7 1/2" D rim. Excellent as-found condition, light 3" hairline off rim, one 3/8" diameter spot of glaze loss to body, otherwise only some scattered light flaking/wear to outer rim.
