VIRGINIA ATTRIBUTED CARVED TREEN LARGE DIPPER, American elm, carved from a single piece of wood, deep bowl with long handle having a triangular opening at the end. Excellent original dark surface. Found on a farm near Flint Hill, Rappahannock Co., VA. Probably by the same maker as lot 783. First half 19th century. 26 1/2" L, 7" D bowl. Provenance: Property of a West Virginia private collector.
Very good condition with an old wire repair to hairline crack in bowl, expected wear to bowl rim.
