WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA DECORATED STONEWARE JAR, salt-glazed, "5" gallon capacity mark, ovoid form with beaded shoulder, deep collar, squared rim, and under-sized arched handles, Albany-slip glazed interior. Brushed cobalt horizontal foliate decoration featuring seven tulips, additional cobalt at handle terminals. Circa 1860. 15 1/2" H, 9" D rim.
