Paris, Libr. Centrale d'Architecture u. Libr. des Imprimeries reunies (Bd. 5), 1884-(89). Fol. Lose in marmor. HLwd.-Mappen d. Zt. mit Bindebändern (berieben, bestoßen, Rücken tls. verstärkt). First edition. 5 vols. with 2 maps, 101 on 91 (2 col., 4 fold.) plates and numerous text illustrations. The 2 maps and 32 plates are missing, and have been replaced by photographs in the same size. - Lose leaves in contemp. half cloth folders (rubbed, bumped, spines partially reinforced). - Each vol. with engraved bookplate of Alexandre Hoquet, some browning and foxing, partially with small marginal defects, titles and plates on verso stamped, some plates waterstained in the white margin. Erste Ausgabe. - Die Karten sowie 32 Tafeln (u.a. alle 20 aus Tl. 4 u. 1 gefalt.) fehlend und durch gleichformatige Photographien ersetzt. - Bedeutende Publikation über Dieulafoys archäologische Forschungen in Persien, die Bände 2 u. 3 sind ausschließlich Persepolis gewidmet. Die photographischen Vorlagen für viele Taf. wurden von Dieulafoys Frau u. Reisegefährtin Jane angefertigt u. zeigen vielfach heute zerstörte oder beschädigte Altertümer. - Jew. mit gestoch.
