• Lot Description
  Schreiber, Richard Stillleben. 1930. Gouache auf Malpappe. 59 x 48,5 cm (Sichtmaß). Signiert und datiert. Unter Glas gerahmt (ungeöffnet). - Mit Spuren einer vorherigen Rahmung, vereinzelt knickspurig mit Farbausbrüchen. Studierte in Düsseldorf bei Carli Sohn-Rethel u. bis 1933 in Paris bei Othon Friesz und André Lhote, im zweiten WK nach dem Krieg war er als Korrektor der Düsseldorfer Kunstakademie Werner Heuser tätig, zu seinen Schülern gehörten u.a. Karl Heinz Krauskopf und Helmut Seegers. Gouache on painting cardboard. Signed and dated. Framed under glass (unopened). - With traces of previous framing, sporadically creased with paint chips. - Studied in Düsseldorf with Carli Sohn-Rethel and until 1933 in Paris with Othon Friesz and André Lhote, after the Second World War he worked as a proofreader at the Düsseldorf art academy Werner Heuser, among his pupils were Karl Heinz Krauskopf and Helmut Seegers. *
