Note: By repute from the artist: This work shows women dressed in their finest clothing on their way to the annual week-long horse trade/show in the Tibetan mountains where they barter goods and look for potential spouses, since for the rest of the year people are spread so far throughout the region. A 2.5''-wide panel of paper has been added to the painting along the lower edge, likely later by the artist. Visual: Generally good condition. A 1.75'' scattered line of staining to the paper upper right. Two small spots of staining to the paper lower right. Mounted to the recto mat with artist's tape and masking tape along the four edges.
