20th Century - A carved and painted wooden handle of a man's head with exaggerated African features, retains most original paint, painted black and white striped collar, partridge wood shaft with "J.W.L. 1844" marked along side, and a painted carved ferrule in shape of shoe with a small black and white striped collar resembling a sock.
