- Lot Description
Ca. 1890-1930 - An exceptional and highly personalized custom made Remington gun cane featuring a rich repousse hand-engraved signed solid Sterling silver handle with ornate designwork and cartouche presentation on side which reads "Presented to G. Fiberlin P. M from Gothe Lodge No. 629 F & AM on the 25th Anniversary". On the front side of the handle is a cartouche featuring the classic square and compass of freemasonry with the G in the center, mounted on a concealed firearm cane body. Classic concentric circle Remington firing button. The cane retains its original concealed firing mechanism with Remington associated construction and a discreet muzzle arrangement integrated into the shaft. Barrel contains rifling with a classic Reminton style ferrule. Overall very good condition, minor oxidation and surface wear consistent with period age. H-4x3 1/2" OL-36 1/4"
