The last professional images of Marilyn Monroe were taken less than a month before she passed away. What's unusual about them, among other things, is that they were unretouched. Monroe was more diligent about photo sessions than anyone in her time, and infamously scissored and tore through or blackened and crossed over photos she deemed inadequate or unflattering. Some of the Barris photos show a still beautiful Monroe with visible signs of normal aging.
