Pre-Columbian Remojadas Veracruz Sculpture
C.E. 700 - 1000 monumental Remojadas terracotta fragmentary head and torso of a warrior having half of the face and eyes darkened with bitumen; together with a wooden base; provenance: Chicago, Illinois estate
Condition: Good, fragmentary, consisting of numerous pieces glued together without restoration; head largely intact; loss of ear spool, chips to headdress; chips and cracks throughout; loss of lower body ; overall moderate to heavy wear consistent with age and normal use
Height: 16 1/2 inches, Length: 10 3/4 inches, Width: 5 inches (figure without stand)
