An American Mahogany Federal Card Table, New England,
19th century, the shaped rectangular hinged top with inlaid edge over a conforming skirt decorated with an inlaid floral basket at center and flanked by inlaid foliate decoration, each encased in triangle inlay, raised on square double tapering legs ending in cross banded cuffs.
Height 29 1/4 x width 35 1/4 x depth (closed) 17 5/8 inches.

Table is usable condition. Legs likely uneven, slightly unsteady. Closed top surface having heavy wear to finish. Age split to left side. Areas of old stain, nicks and surface scratches from use. Open top surface in good condition. Areas or wear to the edges and center seam. Top leaf slightly warped. Leg that opens slightly loose. Inlay panel to the front left having a cracks and areas or warping/lifting. Scratches, scuff marks, and wear consistent with age.
