1 page, 4to, on Tuskegee Normal and Industrial Institute stationery, a few minor folds, one touching the "r" in the signature. "My, but it seems good to hear from you again, and to learn that you plan to be on the Job again Tues. I hope you will take it moderately until you get strong again…P.S. Since you were here I have had all of my teeth taken out. I feel better already." Porter was a researcher for the Tom Huston Peanut Company, and Carver was enlisted by the Columbus, Georgia-based company to perform research relating to peanut diseases.
