Polychrome Enamel VaseA fine and richly decorated Limoges vase by Camille Fauré, executed in polychrome enamel over copper. The vessel features a vibrant palette of layered enamels, characteristic of Fauré’s technical mastery in the Art Deco period. Signed just above the base.
Dimensions: 4 1/2 in. diameter x 7 in. high
Condition: Overall good; minor surface wear consistent with age.
Artist Bio
Camille Fauré (1874–1956) was one of the leading French enamelists of the 20th century, celebrated for revitalizing the Limoges enamel tradition. Establishing his workshop in Limoges in 1920, Fauré became known for his bold Art Deco vases, richly enameled with vivid colors and abstract or floral motifs. His innovative layering technique created remarkable depth and luminosity, earning him international acclaim.
