Carlo Weingrill
Two-Tone Gold and Amazonite Bangle Bracelet
Verona, circa late 1960s
A magnificent statement bangle by Carlo Weingrill, masterfully crafted in Verona, Italy, during the late 1960s. The design is composed of intricately twisted strands of 18-karat yellow and white gold, woven together to form a supple, textured pattern that exemplifies the house’s signature craftsmanship and precision.
Crowning the bracelet is a striking round sugarloaf cabochon of natural green amazonite jade, bezel-set at the center. The gem, measuring approximately 20 × 20 × 15 mm and weighing about 43.92 carats, lends the piece a bold yet elegant presence. The bracelet is fitted with an invisible hinge, a push box clasp, and a hinged figure-eight safety catch for secure wear.
Weight approximately 43.14 dwt.
Inner circumference 7.25 in. (18.4 cm).
Width 43 mm (1.70 in.); stone height 23 mm.
Hallmarks
Stamped with Italian assay marks for 18-karat gold, maker’s monogram CW, and signed CW .750 15VR.
Notes
A superb example of Carlo Weingrill’s artistry, this bracelet embodies the atelier’s hallmark fusion of refined geometry, luxurious materials, and timeless Italian sophistication—a testament to the enduring legacy of one of Verona’s most distinguished jewelers.
