Cartier
Large “Trinity” Necklace
Paris, Late 20th Century
A magnificent and iconic design, this extra-large Trinity necklace by Cartier epitomizes the maison’s enduring celebration of unity and timeless modernity. Expertly crafted in Paris from 18-karat white, rose, and yellow gold, the interlocking rings are rendered with a high-polish finish and suspended from a triple gold chain of matching tricolor links. The necklace is accompanied by an interchangeable black silk cord, allowing for a more contemporary or casual styling.
The white gold band is pavé-set with 180 round brilliant-cut diamonds, totaling approximately 1.80 carats, of exceptional E color and VVS clarity, radiating the refined craftsmanship and impeccable standards synonymous with Cartier. The tricolor chain is fitted with a concealed security clasp, while the silk cord secures with a sliding lock.
Weight approximately 22.25 dwt.
Length 22.1 in. (56 cm).
Pendant diameter 43.5 mm (1.72 in.).
Hallmarks
Each component stamped with French assay marks for 18-karat gold (eagle’s head), maker’s mark within a lozenge, serial numbers, and signed © Cartier .750 33248C (pendant) and © Cartier .750 HI9647 (chain).
Accompaniment
Offered with Cartier’s original red leather presentation case and outer box.
Notes
Among Cartier’s most celebrated creations, the Trinity design—conceived in 1924 by Louis Cartier—symbolizes harmony and eternal connection. This large-format edition exemplifies the sculptural purity and refined craftsmanship that have defined the house’s design ethos for nearly a century.
