“Chrysanthemum” Sterling Silver Gravy/Dressing Serving Spoon
Directorship of Edward C. Moore (1873–1891)A sterling silver gravy or dressing serving spoon by Tiffany & Co., in the Chrysanthemum pattern. Stamped with the “M” director’s mark for Edward C. Moore (1873–1891). Of elongated form, the handle is richly decorated in high relief with chrysanthemum blossoms and scrolling foliage, terminating in a monogrammed cartouche. This serving piece exemplifies the sumptuous repoussé work of Tiffany’s most luxurious silver service pattern, introduced in 1880.
Dimensions: 12 1/4 in. long
Weight: 7.97 troy oz.
