Eunseok Han’s jewelry reflects his concern for the environment, particularly the impact of disposable items on nature. Inspired by the pollution caused by mass production, Han creates stunning pieces from recycled cans and non-precious materials, repurposing them into intricate designs that symbolize coral bleaching—a direct result of ocean pollution. By carefully cutting and assembling these discarded materials, Han transforms them into wearable art, reflecting both current culture and the urgency of environmental preservation. He uses renewable PLA plastic to connect the pieces, furthering his commitment to sustainability. Through his work, Han aims to raise awareness about pollution and the need to protect the planet. In 2020, he was a finalist in the Arte y Joya International Award in Spain and earned accolades in Korea’s Cheongju Craft and Cultural Product Competition and the Mode in Jewelry Competition.
