Kathleen Byrnes received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design (MassArt) in 1992. Her work is held in private collections across the United States and Europe.
Artist's Description:
Crafted using the traditional copper foil technique, this 20 x 10 inch stained glass panel presents a stylized interpretation of tulips that bridges craftsmanship with a contemporary, abstract aesthetic. The composition features two prominent floral forms in soft, neutral tones, each centered by a bold green oval symbolizes the flower’s core. The interplay between opaque and translucent glass emphasizes the work’s tonal contrasts and subtle textures. The linear framework and organic shapes enhances the piece’s Art Nouveau influences, while the minimal palette and geometry give the panel a modern edge.Exhibition Sponsor:
