Description
Vintage French Beaded Flower Arrangement Art Display: Early-Mid 20th Century; Original, 12” by 20” french porcelain openwork planter with gold painted highlights marked “Made in France” on base, artist signed “TLF” displaying a bouquet of adjustable beadwork flowers to include bell flowers, hanging hearts and tulips; the majority of beadwork is intact but there is some minor loss on edges of some flowers; overall excellent condition; please see photos.

Literature
Vintage French beaded flowers are a, detailed art form, originating in 16th-century Europe—likely Venice or France—where, according to Jennifer Milarski-Stermšek, artisans crafted intricate, long-lasting floral displays from wire and glass seed beads. Popularly used as durable decorations (Immortelles) in 19th-century church altars and funeral wreaths, these arrangements became popular home decor during the Victorian era and saw a major resurgence in the 1960s-70s via instructional craft kits.

Bidders are always welcome to pickup at our gallery in lieu of shipping. MAAG will not arrange shipping for oversized items. It is on the bidder to find a courier or pick up at our gallery. Online Bidders: We will add shipping charges to your invoice once we have your shipping cost. Once payment for the invoice is received, we will have our shipping department package and prepare your items for shipping. That means we automatically prepare items for shipping after payment is collected. We use the address listed on your account for shipping. IF YOU NEED TO USE A DIFFERENT ADDRESS OR DO NOT NEED SHIPPING AND WILL PICK UP, LET US KNOW ASAP AFTER PAYING YOUR INVOICE.
