Bio: Burton Morris is a contemporary American artist known for his bold, post-pop style. He earned a BFA from Carnegie Mellon University in 1986 and began his career in advertising before founding Burton Morris Studios in 1990. His vibrant, iconic imagery gained national attention when his artwork appeared on the TV show Friends and in Absolut Vodka’s Statehood campaign. Over the years, Morris has created signature artwork for major global events such as the Olympics, the Academy Awards, FIFA World Cup, and the United Nations. His work has been exhibited internationally, including at Sotheby’s in Amsterdam and the Olympic Museum in Switzerland. Major corporations and institutions have commissioned his art, and it appears in esteemed collections worldwide. Morris currently works out of his studio in Los Angeles.
