SAM FRANCIS (Californian 1923-1994) Untitled (SF70-723) Acrylic on paper Sheet: 41 x 27 1/2 inches / 104.14 x 69.85 cm; Frame: 45 1/8 x 31 5/8 inches Signed and dated verso upper center of the sheet: Sam Francis 1970 Artist label verso: Sam Francis / Title: Untitled / Number/Year: SF70-723 / Medium: Acrylic on paper / Inches: 41" x 27 1/2" / Centimeters: 104.1 x 69.8 cm Provenance: From the collection of Suzanne Wagner PhD, purchased directly from the artist. Francis and Wagner were life long friends. This work is identified with the interim identification number of SF70-723 in consideration for the forthcoming Sam Francis: Catalogue Raisonn� of Unique Works on Paper. Condition: In overall very good condition, 7 creases in the paper in the lower half with the largest measuring 3 3/8 inches. Craqulure in the two upper red areas where the paint has pooled at the top of the sheet. Sheet is tacted with archival tape in all four corners and in the mid way points on all four edges
