  This coffee table by Ben Rowley is a great example of furniture design that goes beyond the conventional. It is handmade from locally sourced and milled spalted maple. Rowley has enhanced the natural grain and character of the wood by "book matching" it, giving it an imperfect symmetry achieved through balance rather than mirroring-a feature of many carefully pruned bonsai trees. The table's sculptural steel support
  mimics the trunk and branches of a bonsai. When the piece was completed, Rowley titled it to establish the connection between the crafted tree and the crafted artifact.
  
  Rowley is the sole proprietor of Fusion Studios in Green Lake, Wisconsin, where he produces custom cabinetry and furniture.

  • MOWA will offer a complimentary delivery service for anyone living within a 120 mile radius of MOWA in West Bend. Delivery dates and times must be arranged by mutual agreement. Buyers outside the stated radius of MOWA may arrange to have the artwork packed and shipped at the buyer’s expense through Guardian Fine Art Services in Milwaukee. To have an initial discussion regarding packing and shipping fees, contact MOWA’s Registrar Andrea Waala at 262.247.2273 or at awaala@wisconsinart.org. Please know that it may take longer than usual this year to get purchased pieces into the hands of buyers due to the extenuating circumstances currently caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. All merchandise purchased must be removed from the premises within (14) days from the day of the auction. Smaller items may be taken immediately following the Auction once payment has been processed and approved. The Museum shall have no liability for any damage or loss to property left on its premises.
