Presented here is likely a one-of-a-kind modified diving helmet based on the United States Navy Mark V model. This helmet features the bonnet and breastplate from the Mark V. Original Mark V components include the four brails, twelve wing nuts, side and top ports with guards and glass, BTE exhaust valve, comms and air elbows, comms cap, non-return valve and end cap, dumbbell safety latch, and four brails shims.
The creator of this helmet did not want to be outdone, so an air fitting elbow was incorporated into the back of the breastplate neck ring, making this helmet a neck feed and bonnet air feed model! A little redundancy never hurts. The visual centerpiece of this creation is the large faceplate window. This design is reminiscent of shallow water helmets of the period. It also fits the style of diving helmets used in Hollywood movies to showcase the actor's face.
The front of the breastplate features a replica US Navy Mark V Schrader ID plate dated September 1942. Inside the bonnet, the original air vents, chin button, and modern reproducer are present. The breastplate neck ring does have an internal air vent duct exhausting on the lower front edge. It does appear that this helmet was constructed to be used recreationally. This helmet should not be used until certified by a dive shop or someone like DESCO / Morse.
If you are looking for something unique and fun that no one else will have, then here you go!

The certificate will have a unique number that will match the number on a tamperproof hologram decal placed inside the helmet.
