Size: 7 ft 6 in x 5 ft 10 in (2.29 m x 1.78 m)
Provenance: Purchased at Rippon Boswell Auction - Lot 120 - 05/2022 - for $17,500
This Sewan Kazak rug features a boldly stepped central medallion framed by cruciform rosettes and latch-hook motifs in a vibrant palette of red, indigo, and ochre. Strong borders and angular spandrels emphasize its structural clarity. Rich in symbolism and texture, it reflects the power and identity of tribal Caucasian design.Condition
Lot # 317 is in a very good to mint condition. Th epile is mostly full and evem with minor areas of little wear. Minor scattered oxidized browns. The two ends are original and hand secured. The sides are original and hand secured. There is no dryness in the foundation This rug is clean and floor ready.
